PermitPulse

PermitPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps city planning departments and frequent applicants understand where building and planning permits get stuck. It ingests permit status data from existing systems (or even weekly CSV exports if integration is painful), normalizes it, and shows a clear timeline of every handoff: intake, zoning, plan check, fire, utilities, inspections. It flags aging items, missing documents, and repeat rework loops, then produces simple dashboards for managers and public-facing status pages for applicants. An AI layer summarizes reviewer comments into actionable checklists and detects recurring rejection reasons by permit type and neighborhood. This is not a “smart city” fantasy product; it’s operational plumbing that reduces calls, emails, and political heat by making the process measurable and transparent.
