PermitPulse

PermitPulse helps residents and neighborhood groups monitor what’s being built or changed nearby—without spending hours on confusing municipal websites. It aggregates public permit, zoning, and planning-agenda data into a simple feed by address, neighborhood, or radius. Users can set alerts for specific parcel IDs, keywords (e.g., “demolition,” “liquor license,” “cell tower”), and meeting dates, then share a clean summary with neighbors. The app includes a plain-language explainer for common permit types and a “what to do next” checklist (who to contact, deadlines, links to official documents). This isn’t a debate platform; it’s an early-warning and organization tool. Realistically, coverage will start city-by-city because data quality varies wildly, and some municipalities publish messy PDFs. The MVP should focus on a handful of data-friendly cities and expand as ingestion improves.
