PermitPulse

PermitPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps residents and small contractors track local permit and inspection requests end-to-end. Users submit a request ID (or forward confirmation emails) and the app builds a timeline: received, assigned, in review, corrections requested, scheduled, completed. It auto-generates polite status-check emails, logs every interaction, and flags when a request exceeds statutory or published service-level targets. For municipalities, it offers an optional portal to publish real-time queue metrics without exposing sensitive data. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI reads messy emails/PDF notices, extracts dates/statuses, and drafts communications; traditional workflows handle tracking, reminders, and dashboards. The goal isn’t to “fix government,” it’s to make the process legible and create pressure for predictable service through transparent metrics.
