PermitPulse

PermitPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps cities and contractors manage post-disaster repair permits and safety inspections without drowning in email, PDFs, and phone calls. It provides a standardized intake for damage reports, contractor submissions, and inspection scheduling, then tracks each property through triage, temporary repairs, and final sign-off. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to extract key fields from uploaded documents/photos (address, scope, materials, contractor license), flag missing items, and suggest the correct permit pathway based on local rules configured by the city. The app also generates resident-facing status pages so people can see what’s happening without calling city hall. This is not a “save the world” consumer app; it’s boring civic workflow software that reduces backlog and speeds safe re-occupancy.
