PermitPulse
PermitPulse is a web app (with an optional lightweight mobile companion) that makes local government permitting timelines visible and comparable. It aggregates permit status data from city/county portals (where available), lets residents and small contractors submit verified “I filed / I got approved” timestamps, and produces simple dashboards: median days-to-approve by permit type, office, and neighborhood, plus trendlines over time. The app generates public, shareable reports for council meetings and journalists, and private alerts for applicants when their case is stuck beyond typical ranges. It’s not a magic transparency tool: many jurisdictions have messy data and will resist. The MVP focuses on 5–10 cities with accessible portals and high permitting pain (ADUs, solar, small remodels). Monetization is primarily B2B: contractors, expediters, and property managers pay for alerts, benchmarking, and exportable evidence packs; civic groups get a free public view.
