PermitSnap is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps homeowners and small contractors figure out what permits and inspections they actually need, then tracks the process end-to-end. Users enter an address, project type (deck, HVAC, kitchen remodel), and rough scope. The app pulls jurisdiction rules, typical required docs, and inspection sequences, then generates a step-by-step checklist with due dates, fees, and submission links. It also stores photos, plans, and contractor documents in one place and pings users when an inspection window is approaching. The AI component summarizes messy municipal PDFs and converts them into plain-English tasks, but it’s positioned as guidance—not legal advice. Realistically, it won’t “guarantee approval”; it reduces missed steps, rework, and scheduling delays that cost real money.
