PestPulse
PestPulse is a mobile + web app for early detection and rapid response to invasive species, built for people who actually manage land. Users log sightings with photo, GPS, habitat notes, and optional specimen handling steps. The app routes reports into a lightweight verification workflow: local experts (agency staff, extension offices, vetted volunteers) can confirm, request more evidence, or mark as false positive. Once verified, PestPulse pushes geo-fenced alerts to nearby managers and generates a simple “first 72 hours” action checklist (who to call, containment steps, permitting links, and disposal guidance) tailored by species and jurisdiction. The web dashboard helps organizations triage incoming reports, track hotspots over time, and export clean datasets to existing GIS tools. This is not a magic identification toy; it’s a coordination and verification layer that reduces wasted field time and missed early windows.
