PetMargin is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for independent pet retailers to track real profitability per SKU, not just sales. It pulls sales from POS/ecommerce, matches invoices from distributors, and calculates true margin after shipping, promos, shrink, and returns. It flags “high-volume, low-profit” items, suggests price floors, and recommends reorder quantities based on sell-through and lead times. It also includes a lightweight competitor price check workflow (manual scan or import) so shops can stay competitive without racing to the bottom. This is a traditional app with AI-assisted features: AI helps auto-match messy invoice line items to SKUs, categorize fees, and generate plain-English weekly action lists. It’s not glamorous, but it targets the unsexy operational gap that quietly kills small pet stores: bad pricing and invisible costs.
