PhasePocket
PhasePocket is a web + desktop app that lets materials engineers generate and compare phase diagrams and property trends for common alloy systems without wrestling with heavyweight enterprise tools. Users enter composition ranges, temperature/pressure conditions, and optional processing notes, then the app runs thermodynamic calculations (where licensed databases are available) or uses curated open datasets for approximate guidance. It outputs phase fractions vs. temperature, predicted solidification paths, and quick “what changes if…” sliders for composition tweaks. The MVP focuses on a few high-demand systems (Fe-C, Al-Si-Mg, Ni-based superalloys) and produces exportable plots for reports. This is not a magic oracle: results are only as good as the underlying databases and assumptions, and the app will clearly label confidence and limitations. The goal is faster iteration and fewer costly lab trials, not replacing expert validation.
