PhaseShift

PhaseShift is a web app (with optional desktop companion) for simulating and stress-testing complex systems to detect emergent behavior and tipping points. Users build agent-based or network models from templates (supply chains, social contagion, traffic flow, ecological dynamics), then run parameter sweeps to see when stable patterns suddenly flip into cascades, gridlock, or collapse. The app focuses on practical outputs: early-warning indicators (critical slowing down, rising autocorrelation/variance), scenario comparison, and clear “what changed” explanations. It’s not a toy visualization tool—models must be auditable and exportable for reports. Expect a learning curve: it’s aimed at analysts who can handle assumptions and uncertainty. The MVP will prioritize a small set of high-value templates and a workflow that makes experimentation fast, reproducible, and shareable across teams.
