PHEVProof is a mobile + web app that verifies how often a plug-in hybrid is actually driven on electricity. It connects to the car via an OBD-II dongle (or supported OEM APIs where available) and produces a simple monthly “EV-usage report”: electric miles %, fuel miles %, charging frequency, and estimated CO2 and fuel cost savings. The core value is accountability for fleets, reimbursement programs, and used-car buyers who don’t trust seller claims like “mostly driven electric.” It also flags suspicious patterns (never charged, constant engine-on, battery not used) and exports a signed report for HR, leasing, or resale listings. This is not a consumer “fun dashboard” app; it’s a verification tool with audit-friendly outputs. Expect some vehicles to be finicky—coverage and data quality will make or break it.
