PHEVRoute

PHEVRoute is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that plans drives for plug-in hybrid owners by predicting when you’ll run out of usable electric range and what it will cost if you don’t charge. Unlike generic EV route planners, it models the messy reality of PHEVs: short EV ranges, temperature impacts, speed, elevation, and the fact that many drivers forget to plug in. The app learns from your past trips and charging habits, then suggests the best “charge-or-don’t” plan for a given day: where to stop (if at all), how long to charge, and whether it’s even worth it versus just running hybrid. It also flags trips where charging is pointless due to slow chargers or short dwell times. It’s an AI + traditional app: AI for prediction and recommendations, standard mapping for routing.
