PhishProof is a mobile + browser extension that flags phishing, fake invoices, and impersonation scams at the moment you’re about to act. It scans emails, SMS, WhatsApp/Telegram messages, and web pages for high-risk patterns (lookalike domains, brand impersonation, payment redirection, urgent language, and suspicious forms). Users can forward a message or share a screenshot; the app returns a clear risk score, the specific red flags found, and a safe next step (e.g., “call the vendor using a verified number,” “do not enter credentials,” “report to IT”). For small teams, it adds a lightweight admin console to see attempted scams, block known bad domains, and push “verified contacts” lists. This won’t magically stop every novel scam, but it will prevent a large chunk of everyday, high-volume fraud by catching the obvious and guiding users through safer verification.
