PiecePilot

PiecePilot is a mobile app that helps parents and builders quickly identify and source missing parts from construction toy sets (bricks, tiles, connectors). You snap a photo of the piece on a plain background; the app suggests likely matches by shape and color, then asks a couple of quick questions (dimensions, markings, set brand). It outputs a shortlist of candidate parts, links to buy from marketplaces, and a printable “missing list” for later. It also tracks your household inventory by scanning bags/boxes and lets you log what gets lost most often. This is not magic: photo ID will be imperfect, especially with off-brand pieces and poor lighting, so the app focuses on narrowing options and reducing time wasted searching. Monetization: freemium with a monthly plan for unlimited identifications and inventory tracking, plus affiliate revenue on part purchases.
