PilgrimPass

PilgrimPass is a mobile + web app for people who can’t travel to sacred sites but still want a structured pilgrimage experience. It offers curated “routes” (e.g., Camino-style stages, Jerusalem stations, Umrah/Hajj learning paths) using high-quality 360° video, maps, short readings, and timed rituals. The app schedules daily stages, tracks completion, and includes optional live group sessions led by vetted guides (clergy, historians, licensed tour guides). A built-in “proof of practice” journal (check-ins, reflections, audio prayers) makes it feel less like passive VR tourism and more like a commitment. It also supports accessibility modes (low-bandwidth, captions, screen-reader-first) and a clear disclaimer: it does not replace official religious obligations where applicable. Monetization is subscription plus paid cohort pilgrimages and institutional licenses for churches/mosques/temples running remote programs.
