PillPing
PillPing is a mobile app (with an optional caregiver web dashboard) that focuses on one hard problem: confirming meds were actually taken, not just reminding. The user gets scheduled reminders and must complete a quick “proof step” such as scanning the prescription label, tapping an NFC sticker on the pill organizer, or taking a short photo of the pills in-hand. The app logs adherence with timestamps and generates simple weekly reports. Caregivers can receive alerts only when something is missed or repeatedly late, reducing notification fatigue. It also supports refill countdowns and “as-needed” meds with guardrails (dose limits, minimum intervals). This is not a clinical device and won’t magically fix non-adherence; it’s a lightweight accountability tool for households where missed meds cause real consequences. Monetization: $6–$12/month per family, with a free tier for basic reminders.
