PilotSync

PilotSync is a tablet-first integration assistant for marine and light-aircraft operators who constantly mix-and-match navigation apps, chartplotters, and autopilot brands. It guides users through a vendor-specific “handoff” setup: verifying heading source, GPS quality, cross-track error limits, and mode arming logic before enabling autopilot coupling. The app logs NMEA 0183/2000 (and common serial/UDP feeds) to detect misconfigured talker IDs, bad sentence rates, magnetic variation mismatches, and intermittent dropouts that cause dangerous steering surprises. It also provides a simple pre-departure checklist and a post-incident export for mechanics or support. This is not a magic autopilot controller; it’s a realistic integration validator and troubleshooting tool that reduces time wasted chasing wiring, settings, and firmware quirks. It works best with a supported gateway dongle or onboard network feed, and it’s honest when it cannot verify a setup.
