PinnipedLog
PinnipedLog is a mobile + web app for researchers, rehab centers, and trained volunteers to capture consistent, audit-ready observations of seals, sea lions, walrus, and other marine mammals. It replaces messy notebooks and inconsistent spreadsheets with structured forms (species, age class, body condition, injuries, tags/marks, behavior, group size), GPS/time-stamped entries, and offline-first syncing for remote beaches. Photos and short clips are auto-linked to each record, and the app generates exportable datasets (CSV/JSON) compatible with common analysis workflows. An AI-assisted mode can suggest species/age class and flag potential entanglement or injury patterns from images, but it never “decides” without human confirmation. The realistic value is operational: faster, cleaner data collection and easier reporting, not magical conservation outcomes. Pricing targets organizations that already spend on field ops and compliance reporting.
