PipePal

PipePal is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps DIY homeowners identify common plumbing parts and fittings and avoid wasted trips to the hardware store. You take a photo of the under-sink setup, shutoff valve, trap, supply line, faucet connector, or toilet fill/flush components. The app guides you through a short checklist (pipe material, diameter, thread type, compression vs. push-fit, angle stop size) and outputs a plain-English parts list with measurements, a compatibility warning list, and a “what to buy” checklist you can take to any store. It also includes short, non-glamorous repair playbooks (e.g., replace a P-trap, swap a fill valve) with required tools, time estimates, and “stop and call a pro” red flags. It’s not a magic fix-it app; it’s a reduce-mistakes app.
