PlanSnap

PlanSnap is a mobile + web AI app that converts a few smartphone photos (or a short video sweep) of a room into a simplified, editable 2D floor plan with approximate dimensions and furniture footprints. Users can then drag-and-drop common furniture templates, test alternate layouts, and export a shareable link or PDF for partners, roommates, or contractors. The goal is not perfect architectural accuracy; it’s “good enough to plan” in minutes without learning CAD. The app flags uncertainty (e.g., occluded corners) and asks for one extra photo when needed. It also includes a basic “fit check” that warns when walkways are too tight or doors will collide with furniture. Monetization: freemium with paid exports, multi-room projects, and collaboration. Realistically, accuracy will vary by lighting/clutter, so the product must be transparent about confidence and limits.
