PlasmidProof

PlasmidProof is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that validates plasmid constructs against what you think you built—before you order primers, start cloning, or submit samples for sequencing. Users upload GenBank/FASTA files, primer designs, and Sanger/NGS reads, then the app runs automated checks: feature/ORF integrity, restriction site conflicts, frame shifts, unexpected stop codons, promoter/terminator orientation, and contamination hints. It produces a clear “pass/fail with reasons” report plus a lab-ready checklist and suggested fixes (e.g., primer redesign, alternative enzymes, or re-clone steps). This is a combination traditional + AI app: deterministic bioinformatics for alignment/annotation plus an AI layer that explains failures in plain language and proposes next actions. It’s realistic because it focuses on a narrow, high-frequency workflow where small errors are common and expensive.
