PlasmidProof
PlasmidProof is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that validates synthetic biology designs against what you actually built. Users upload plasmid/construct sequences (FASTA/GenBank) plus Sanger/ONT reads or assembled contigs; the app aligns, calls discrepancies, and generates a lab-ready “pass/fail” report with annotated mutations, indels, mixed peaks, and likely causes (primer mismatch, recombination hotspots, synthesis errors). It also checks common gotchas: restriction sites reintroduced, frameshifts, codon-optimization side effects, promoter/terminator integrity, and unintended ORFs. This is an AI + traditional app: traditional bioinformatics does the core calling, while AI summarizes results into actionable troubleshooting steps and a concise QC certificate you can attach to ELNs or share with collaborators. It’s not a magical “design your organism” tool—just a brutally practical QC gate that saves time, reagents, and credibility.
