PlatePilot

PlatePilot is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that automates the most error-prone part of VFX post: ingesting plates, tracking versions, and packaging deliveries. You point it at a folder or camera card dump; it reads metadata (timecode, reel, resolution, color space), generates consistent naming, creates proxies, and builds a searchable “plate library” with shot/scene bins. It also validates deliveries against a spec (codec, frame range, handles, LUTs, burn-ins) and flags mismatches before a client ever sees them. The AI component suggests shot matches (e.g., which plate belongs to which edit) using timecode/audio sync and can auto-detect common issues like dropped frames or wrong color transforms. This is not a replacement for Nuke/Resolve—it's the glue that stops teams from bleeding hours on file chaos and redeliveries.
