PlaydatePing

PlaydatePing is a mobile app for parents to coordinate playdates with less friction and more safety. Instead of blasting WhatsApp groups, parents create a “kid profile” (age range, interests, allergies, supervision needs) and a “play window” (time, location radius, indoor/outdoor). The app suggests compatible matches from verified local parents and lets you propose a meetup at vetted venues (parks, indoor play spaces, libraries) with built-in RSVP and last-minute updates. A lightweight trust layer includes phone verification, optional ID verification, mutual connections, and post-meet feedback that’s private and non-public (to reduce drama). It also handles the boring stuff: reminders, what-to-bring checklists, and a simple “who’s watching” confirmation to prevent misunderstandings. This isn’t magic—adoption is the hard part—so it focuses on dense neighborhoods and partnerships with local venues to seed early usage.
