PlayGuard

PlayGuard is a mobile + web app that gives families a “closed garden” of kid-safe entertainment without the endless setup. Parents pick a child’s age, sensitivities (violence, scares, language, ads, chat), and daily limits. The app then serves only pre-vetted videos, short games, podcasts, and read-aloud stories from approved sources, with a simple kid-first launcher that prevents wandering into the open internet. It includes a parent review queue: kids can request content, and parents approve with one tap. An AI layer helps classify new content and flags risky scenes or themes, but nothing goes live without human/parent verification rules. The goal is not to replace YouTube Kids—it’s to be the “default safe home screen” that reduces parental anxiety and kid tantrums caused by sudden removals or algorithm surprises.
