PlayPatch

PlayPatch is a mobile app that lets kids create simple “digital toys” (mini-games and interactive scenes) by snapping together templates: characters, physics, sounds, and rules. Think of it as sticker-book game making: drag a character, choose a behavior (bounce, chase, talk), and publish instantly. The twist is sharing: each creation becomes a “patch” that others can remix, like trading cards. Parents get a dashboard with time limits, friend approvals, and content filters. The MVP focuses on a small set of toy genres (pet, obstacle course, doodle music pad) to avoid becoming a bloated Roblox clone. Monetization is a subscription for families plus optional themed asset packs. Realistically, success depends on tight safety controls, fast creation loops, and a strong library of starter templates so kids don’t hit a blank canvas and quit.
