PlayProof is a mobile + web AI app that helps collectors and parents verify whether a plush or figurine listing is likely authentic, a bootleg, or a parts-swap. Users upload photos (front, tags, seams, stitching, paint apps, packaging) and the app compares them against a reference library built from community submissions and reputable sources. It outputs a clear risk score, highlights suspicious regions on the image, and generates a checklist of questions to ask the seller. It also tracks price history by scraping sold listings and flags deals that are “too good” relative to typical condition and edition. This isn’t magic: it won’t guarantee authenticity, but it will reduce obvious mistakes and give buyers evidence-based confidence. Monetization is a subscription for unlimited checks plus a one-off “single verification” purchase for occasional users.
