PlayShelf

PlayShelf is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps parents and caregivers manage toy rotation and reduce clutter without turning it into a full-time job. You quickly catalog toys by snapping photos and scanning barcodes; the app groups items by age range, play type (fine motor, pretend, STEM), and “last played” signals. It then suggests a simple weekly rotation plan and a short “setup script” (what to put out, what to store, and a 5-minute activity prompt) to make toys feel new again. It also tracks missing pieces with lightweight checklists (e.g., puzzle pieces, blocks, board game parts) and can generate a printable “toy bin label” set. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used for auto-tagging toys from photos and generating rotation suggestions, but the core value works even if AI is imperfect.
