PlotLedger
PlotLedger is a web app (with optional desktop companion) for fiction and narrative nonfiction writers who constantly lose track of timelines, character facts, and cause-and-effect. You enter scenes (or import a manuscript), then map characters, locations, objects, and dated events into a “story ledger.” The app flags continuity breaks (ages, travel time, injuries, weather, knowledge a character shouldn’t have yet) and unresolved setup/payoff threads. It’s not a magical writing machine; it’s a consistency auditor and planning cockpit. An AI assistant can suggest likely contradictions and missing links, but every flag is backed by citations to the exact passages that triggered it, so you can verify quickly. The goal is fewer embarrassing errors, faster revisions, and cleaner handoffs to editors and beta readers without turning your book into a template.
