PlumbProof is a mobile app (with optional web companion) that helps DIY homeowners plan small plumbing jobs without guesswork. You enter what you’re doing (replace faucet, swap toilet fill valve, add dishwasher line, fix running toilet), then the app generates a parts list matched to your home’s likely standards (supply sizes, shutoff types, connector styles). The key is a guided “measure & photo” flow: it asks for a few measurements, prompts specific photos, and outputs a shopping list with plain-language names, common SKU equivalents, and a step-by-step checklist. It also includes a risk flagger that warns when a job is likely to go sideways (galvanized pipe, unknown shutoff condition, signs of corrosion) and tells you when to stop and call a pro. This isn’t magic—it's structured guidance to reduce wasted trips and leaks.
