PlumePermit is a mobile app (with a lightweight web admin portal) for hunters and guides to stay compliant with waterfowl regulations and permits without digging through PDFs or outdated forum posts. It provides location-aware season dates, bag/possession limits, species restrictions, and legal shooting hours, then generates a trip-specific compliance checklist. Users can store licenses, stamps, and HIP confirmations in a secure wallet, attach photos of harvest tags/receipts, and export a “compliance packet” for travel or check stations. The app also supports offline mode for marshes with no signal and sends push alerts when emergency closures or rule changes hit a chosen zone. It’s not glamorous, but it targets a real, recurring headache: avoiding accidental violations that cost money, gear, and hunting privileges.
