PoleProof

PoleProof is a mobile + web app for rural electrification teams to run standardized, offline-first inspections of poles, transformers, and low-voltage lines, then turn findings into trackable work orders. Field techs capture GPS, photos, simple condition scores, and safety flags with minimal typing; the app syncs when connectivity returns. Supervisors get a lightweight web dashboard showing feeder-level hotspots, repeat-failure assets, and backlog aging. An AI layer auto-tags photo issues (e.g., cracked insulators, leaning poles, vegetation encroachment) and suggests priority based on risk and customer impact, but it never pretends to be perfect—humans approve everything. The goal is boring but valuable: fewer lost paper forms, fewer “we’ll fix it later” defects, and faster proof-of-work for funders and utilities. It’s built for messy rural realities: intermittent power, low-end Android phones, and limited GIS maturity.
