PolicyCrypt is a desktop + web admin app that enforces “encryption-by-policy” for small and mid-sized businesses that can’t afford a full DLP suite. Admins define rules like: encrypt any file containing SSNs, card numbers, health terms, or specific client keywords; auto-expire shared links; block sending unencrypted attachments; and require recipient verification. The desktop agent watches selected folders and common export paths (Downloads, Desktop, CRM exports) and transparently encrypts files before they leave the device. The web console provides audit trails (who encrypted what, when, and where it was shared), key rotation, and offboarding controls. It integrates with Google Drive/OneDrive and email clients via add-ins to prevent the most common mistake: staff emailing sensitive spreadsheets in plain form. This is not “military-grade” marketing; it’s pragmatic guardrails with proof for auditors.
