PolicyHunt is a mobile + web app that helps drivers reduce car insurance costs by automating the painful parts of shopping and renewal. Users connect their current policy (PDF upload or email forward), and the app extracts coverages, deductibles, drivers, vehicles, and renewal dates. It then generates a clean “coverage profile” and sends it to a curated set of partner brokers/carriers or produces pre-filled quote requests, so users don’t retype the same data 10 times. The app flags common overpay patterns (duplicate roadside, high comp/collision on low-value cars, mismatched mileage, unnecessary add-ons) and suggests safer ways to cut cost without dangerously underinsuring. It also tracks premium changes over time, reminds users 30/14/3 days before renewal, and stores proof-of-insurance and policy docs for quick access. This is realistic: it wins on convenience and timing, not magic pricing.
