PolicyLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for public agencies to manage the messy middle of governance: policy and administrative procedure updates. It centralizes drafts, redlines, approvals, stakeholder comments, effective dates, and required public notices in one audit-ready timeline. Instead of policy changes living in email threads and Word docs, each change becomes a tracked “policy event” with owners, deadlines, and compliance checkpoints. The app includes an AI assistant to summarize changes, flag conflicting language against existing policies, and generate plain-language public summaries. It also produces a defensible change log for internal auditors and external oversight, reducing the risk of “we can’t find who approved this” moments. Realistically, sales cycles are slow and procurement is painful, so the product must deliver clear time savings and audit value quickly to justify adoption.
