PolicyPatch is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that helps teams translate data governance policies into concrete, testable controls across warehouses and BI. Instead of writing long documents nobody follows, you map policies to datasets, owners, classifications, retention rules, and access constraints, then generate checks that run on schedules. The app focuses on “governance drift”: when access, schemas, or data sharing changes silently and breaks compliance. It connects to common stacks (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks) to inventory tables, detect sensitive fields, and track who has access. It produces audit-ready evidence: what the policy is, where it applies, what was tested, and what failed. It’s not a full GRC suite; it’s a practical governance control layer for data teams that already have a warehouse and need lightweight, provable governance.
