PolicyPatch

PolicyPatch is a mobile + web AI-assisted civic education app that turns confusing local government topics into short, source-linked explainers. Users pick their city/county and see a feed of current agenda items (zoning changes, school board votes, budget proposals) summarized at three levels: 30-second, 3-minute, and deep dive. Every claim is tied to a primary source snippet (agenda PDF, ordinance text, meeting minutes) so it doesn’t feel like propaganda. A “What changes for me?” section translates policy into practical impacts (taxes, housing, school boundaries) with clear uncertainty notes. The app includes quick quizzes and a glossary to build civic literacy over time, plus reminders for public comment deadlines and election dates. It’s realistic: it won’t make everyone care, but it can reduce the friction for the minority who already want to understand what’s happening locally.
