PolicyPing is a mobile + web app that keeps jewelry owners continuously “insurance-ready” without the usual paperwork scramble. Users create a private item record (photos, receipts, appraisals, serial numbers) and then connect their insurer or policy details to track coverage limits, deductibles, exclusions (mysterious disappearance, travel, wear-and-tear), and renewal dates. The app flags common mismatch risks like underinsured items after price inflation, outdated appraisals, or policies that exclude loss outside the home. It generates a one-page “Claim Pack” PDF with all documentation and a timeline of ownership updates. It also offers optional reminders to re-appraise based on metal/gem price indices and policy requirements. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI extracts key fields from documents and highlights risky clauses, but the user stays in control with human-readable summaries.
