PolicyPulse is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for local governments and public agencies to run crisis decision-making with real documentation, not scattered emails and ad-hoc spreadsheets. It provides a structured incident timeline, decision log, and policy playbooks that convert “what we think we should do” into tracked actions with owners, deadlines, and evidence. The AI layer summarizes incoming situation reports, flags contradictions, and drafts public-facing updates, but keeps humans in control with approvals and audit trails. It also supports mutual-aid coordination by tracking resource requests (shelter beds, generators, staff) and matching them to available inventory across departments. The goal is not fancy prediction—it’s defensible governance: who decided what, when, based on which inputs, and what was communicated to the public. Expect heavy compliance needs and slow procurement cycles, but the operational value is real.
