PolicyPulse

PolicyPulse is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for education policy teams to track, evaluate, and communicate the real-world impact of policy changes across schools and districts. It connects to existing data sources (attendance, grades, discipline, staffing, budgets) and turns messy, delayed reporting into a consistent “policy dashboard” with before/after comparisons, subgroup breakdowns, and confidence flags when the data is too thin to claim results. It also generates board-ready briefs that cite data sources and clearly separate correlation from causation. The product is intentionally unglamorous: it’s built for analysts and administrators who are tired of spreadsheets, ad-hoc slide decks, and political pressure to overstate outcomes. The MVP focuses on a narrow set of common policy questions (e.g., tutoring, cell phone bans, schedule changes) and makes evaluation repeatable rather than heroic.
