PolicyPurge

PolicyPurge is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that helps libraries and archives enforce record-retention and privacy policies across their library systems and shared drives. It connects to common sources (ILS exports, digital repositories, network folders, and cloud storage) and builds a defensible “retain/delete/anonymize” queue with audit trails. Staff can run policy-based reviews, place legal holds, and generate compliance reports for boards, municipalities, or universities. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to classify document types, detect personal data (PII), and flag likely duplicates, but final actions require human approval. The goal is not flashy discovery—it’s reducing the real operational burden of keeping too much data for too long, which increases breach impact, eDiscovery costs, and public-records headaches. It’s built for small teams that can’t afford enterprise GRC tooling.
