PolicyRipple

PolicyRipple is a web app (with optional desktop export tools) for systems-thinking teams who need to anticipate second- and third-order effects of decisions. Users map a policy or intervention as a set of actors, feedback loops, constraints, and measurable indicators, then run lightweight scenario simulations to see where unintended consequences are likely to emerge. It’s not a “magic prediction” engine; it’s a structured way to surface assumptions, quantify sensitivities, and document trade-offs. The app includes a library of common archetypes (limits to growth, shifting the burden, tragedy of the commons) and prompts that force users to specify time delays, data sources, and confidence levels. An AI assistant helps translate messy meeting notes into a first-pass model and suggests missing links, but every relationship must be explicitly approved. Outputs are decision-ready: risk registers, monitoring dashboards, and a one-page “what could go wrong” brief.
