PollWatch
PollWatch is a mobile + web app that helps voters and election administrators see what’s happening at polling places in near real time: wait times, accessibility status, equipment issues, and whether a location is open and staffed. Voters can choose the least busy site (where legally allowed), plan arrival times, and get clear guidance on what to bring. Poll workers and authorized monitors can submit structured incident reports (e.g., machine down, ballot shortage, curbside voting unavailable) with photos and timestamps. Administrators get a dashboard to triage problems, dispatch technicians, and broadcast updates to affected precincts. This is not a “save democracy” magic wand—adoption is the hard part. The MVP should focus on a few jurisdictions or partnerships where officials actually want operational visibility, and keep the public view simple: wait times, accessibility, and official alerts.
