PomodoroPact
PomodoroPact is a commitment-based Pomodoro timer that makes distraction expensive. You create a focus pact (e.g., 4 pomodoros), choose a stake (small cash deposit, donation to a cause you dislike, or a friend-held “escrow”), and start a session. If you break the session—by ending early, excessive phone unlocks, or switching to blocked apps/sites—you forfeit the stake. If you complete it, you keep your money and build a streak with proof. The app supports “accountability rooms” where 2–6 people run synchronized pomodoros and can see only status (not your screen) to reduce privacy concerns. It’s intentionally simple: timer, rules, stakes, and receipts. It’s not trying to replace task managers; it’s a behavior-change tool for people who already know what to do but don’t do it.
