PopGenPulse
PopGenPulse is a web app (with optional mobile field companion) that turns messy conservation-genetics outputs into decision-ready indicators. Users upload common population-genetics results (VCF, PLINK, STACKS, ANGSD summaries) or simple allele-frequency tables, then the app computes standardized metrics like heterozygosity, inbreeding proxies, effective population size estimates (where feasible), relatedness flags, and temporal trend comparisons. It generates a clear “genetic status report” per population with confidence notes, data-quality checks, and reproducible methods logs. It also tracks sampling events over time, links samples to permits/locations, and exports figures/tables formatted for grant reports and management briefs. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional pipelines for calculations, plus AI to draft plain-language summaries and highlight likely issues (e.g., batch effects, low coverage) without pretending to replace a geneticist.
