PortionPilot

PortionPilot is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that monitors automated pet feeders for the most common real-world failures: jams, empty hoppers, mis-dispenses, power loss, and Wi‑Fi dropouts. It connects to supported feeders via official APIs where available, and otherwise uses a small “watcher” add-on: your existing smart plug plus a phone camera or cheap indoor cam you already own. The app learns each feeder’s normal motor power draw and dispensing pattern; when it detects anomalies (e.g., motor strain without food drop), it alerts you and triggers a fallback routine (pause, retry cycle, notify a neighbor, or switch to a backup feeder schedule). It also logs actual delivery vs. planned portions, so you can see if your pet is being underfed or double-fed. This is not magic: it won’t fix every feeder model, but it will catch many failures early.
