PortPulse

PortPulse is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps importers and exporters anticipate shipment delays and cost spikes by monitoring port congestion, carrier schedule reliability, and inland bottlenecks. Users connect their bookings via carrier emails/EDI feeds or upload a simple CSV, then get a live “risk score” per container: likelihood of rollover, dwell-time risk, demurrage exposure, and missed delivery windows. The app also suggests practical actions: switch to alternate port/rail ramp, pull forward drayage, adjust free-time negotiations, or pre-alert customs brokers. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional integrations and dashboards, plus AI to extract shipment milestones from messy emails/PDFs and to forecast delay risk from historical patterns. It’s not magic—data gaps exist—but it can materially reduce surprise fees and service failures for SMB shippers.
