PPAIndex

PPAIndex is a web app (with optional API) that helps energy buyers and developers sanity-check power purchase agreement pricing and key terms using anonymized comparable deals. Users upload a term sheet or enter deal parameters (hub, node, tenor, volume shape, settlement, credit support, REC structure). The app returns a benchmark range for price and basis, flags outlier terms, and produces a one-page “negotiation brief” highlighting the top 5 value drivers and where the deal is likely mispriced. It also tracks market movements with a simple index per region/technology and lets teams maintain an internal library of executed PPAs for faster future sourcing. This is an AI + traditional app: AI extracts terms from PDFs and drafts the brief, while deterministic models handle normalization, filtering, and index construction. It’s realistic: it won’t replace legal review or full valuation models, but it will cut weeks of back-and-forth.
