PracticeProof is a mobile + web app for music teachers and parents that verifies student practice time and quality with lightweight audio check-ins. Students start a timed session, play assigned excerpts, and the app logs duration, tempo stability, and note-onset consistency (not “perfect pitch” grading). Teachers create weekly assignments (scales, etudes, bars 12–24) and receive a simple dashboard: who practiced, how often, and where they struggled, with short audio snippets attached. This is not a magic “learn music fast” product—it's accountability and better feedback loops between lessons. It works best for beginner-to-intermediate piano, strings, and winds where consistent practice is the main predictor of progress. The app avoids heavy-handed surveillance by using opt-in recordings and clear privacy controls. Monetization is per-teacher subscription with optional parent add-ons.
