PreMortem

PreMortem is a web app (with optional Slack integration) that forces teams to run fast, structured “pre-mortems” on important decisions: launches, hires, pricing changes, policy updates, and incident responses. Users paste a decision summary, constraints, and stakes; the app generates a short set of bias-aware prompts (confirmation bias, sunk cost, overconfidence, availability, groupthink) and a lightweight workflow: independent failure narratives first, then evidence requests, then mitigation actions with owners and dates. It outputs a one-page decision record and a “risk register” that can be revisited post-launch to see what was missed. It’s an AI app + traditional app: AI helps draft prompts, summarize inputs, and extract assumptions, but the core value is the enforced process and audit trail. Realistically, it won’t magically make people rational; it just makes skipping reflection harder and learning easier.
